The experience matters as much as the outcome
We started Siji Projects on a simple idea: how a build feels to live through matters as much as what gets handed over.
In practice that means you always know where the job is up to. Questions get answered quickly, problems get raised before they grow, and the site runs the same way in month twelve as it did in week one.
The background is trade. Carpentry first, then site management, then project management, across high-end residential work in Melbourne for nearly twenty years. When we say a detail can be built, it is because we have built it.
Leadership through experience
Naz Bahar, Managing Director
Naz has spent more than fifteen years building high-end homes in Melbourne alongside leading architects, and has held nearly every role on a job: on the tools, running the site, running the project.
He started young. His first site, at nineteen, was a four storey, multi-million dollar home. Nobody eased him into it.
Before founding Siji Projects he was a construction manager at one of Melbourne's most respected luxury home builders. He left to run jobs his own way.
He still leads every project personally. Most of his energy outside the builds goes into the team, because the standard of a job comes down to the people running it.
The team
The same faces, first day to handover
Every project has its own site manager, backed by our carpentry crew and specialist trades we have worked with for years. We run a small number of jobs at a time, on purpose. It is the only way to keep senior people across all of them.
Relationships built over time
Throughout our professional relationship and the successful completion of numerous projects, Naz has consistently demonstrated a high level of expertise in all facets of construction, both in terms of technical competency as well as management and administration competency.
I am delighted to endorse Naz Bahar for his exceptional contributions during our collaboration on a full restoration, renovation, and addition to a large house in St Kilda. Naz's role was pivotal in the project's success.
